333W3C
The challenge is simple in structure:
- Every week participants must post an article, essay, poem, editorial, story or any other structured literary format.
- Personal blog entries do not count.
- Work must meet the 333 word minimum, however, there is no maximum.
- Entries with images must include a corresponding story or photo-editorial.
- Continuing stories are acceptable.
- We’re using the honor system and assume you are posting new work only.
- All participants are urged to read and comment on each other’s work.
- They must determine a website where said writings will be published and only post them there.
- No duplicate posts on any other sites are permitted. It must also be a site with public access and posts should be accessible without prior log in, i.e. no Facebook notes. (I initially planned to post my work at mikemcgee.net and to have the feed re-posted to this Tumblr account. Upon further research, double posting can mess with Google search and indexing.)
- The week begins on Sunday, so new work must be posted by Saturday. This gives the writer one full week to write, research and edit their work.
- All involved in the challenge must link to the other participating writers on their respective submission websites.
- 333W3C begins any time. All entries following these guidelines should include [333W3C] at the end of the entry subject/title to differentiate it from other posts, and in their corresponding blog tags and Twitter hash (#333W3C).
- We recommend creating a Tumblr account to keep everyone linked together. Thank you and good luck!
